Medical waste is any kind of waste that contains infectious material (or material that’s potentially infectious).

Infectious waste is waste that has the potential to transmit diseases and viruses.

Sharp Waste is a form of biomedical waste composed of used “sharps”, which includes any device or object used to puncture or lacerate the skin.
Pharmaceutical waste is generally expired, unused, unusable, spilled, and contaminated pharmaceutical products, medicines, cytotoxic. preparations, vaccines, sera that are no longer required and need to be disposed of appropriately.
General health care waste is the general waste that you find at hospitals that are disposed of in a normal dumping site.

Offensive waste is non-infectious waste, which is unpleasant and may cause offense to those coming into contact with it eg. sanitary pads.
